Project Compassion

Every year our school supports Project Compassion for Lent. This is an organisation that raises money for families and people who are less fortunate than us. We have a Project Compassion box in our classroom and at each of our homes. We put money in these boxes so that it can go to the people that Project Compassion support. Each week our class watches a video about the work of Caritas around the world. The one we have watched one so far was about a girl in Brazil called Maristely who is a strong young leader committed to helping people in her community improve their lives.

Plane Ride to Canberra

plane ticket

Tamara, Mari and I shared a row on the plane on the way to Canberra! Our flight left Adelaide airport at 6:40 am on the 8th of April 2013. We were served breakfast by the lovely flight attendants. We had muesli cereal, a blueberry muffin, some orange juice and a cup of tea. The tea turned out to be coffee! Tamara was disgusted so she sculled it, it really was gross! What I can’t believe is that she slept after that! We arrived in Canberra at about eight o’clock. We went to collect our luggage then boarded our bus. The bus drivers name was Stewie!

girls cross country

On 8th of august, we had cross country, the course was 2kms longs. when we got there, we had to get set up of course. a while later, we started racing and by we I mean Nativity school. they started with under 10’s, then 11’s, then 12’s, and then Open.

Went it was our turn to race we raced with all the open girls because there were no other divisions for Open. There were a lot of people and they all looked fast so we were really scared. When the gun went my heart was racing, we crossed the race in the same amount of time. After that race, we all went to the canteen to get some thing to eat. There were cakes, cookies, drinks, sausages, lolly bags, and bags of chips.

When it was time to go every one was tired, but we all still were really loud on the bus. When we got back to school, all the girls took naps while the boys played on the computer. Over all, we had a really good day.
