Embassies of the countries
On the 17th of March we went on a mini tour to see some of the embassies. There are nearly eighty embassies in Canberra but we only went to a few of the embassies. My favourite embassies were the ones from China and Japan because they look like traditional buildings from their countries.
What are the embassies?
Countries have embassies in other countries that represent their interests. Embassies also help their citizens who are travelling or need assistance. For example, if you were an Australian citizen travelling to China and you lost your passport or got arrested, the embassy of your country could help you.
