What is the AEC, and What Do They Do?

On the 16th of March, 2015, our class arrived in Canberra. As soon as we arrived, we were off to the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC). The AEC are responsible for handling federal elections and referendums and maintaining the Commonwealth electoral roll. The Commonwealth electoral roll is a list containing information about each person’s address and name. The AEC also accommodate educational programs and activities, including an interactive learning room and an informational video that projects holograms to make it a lot more enjoyable.
